When you think of workwear, jeans are probably one of the last items to come to mind. But styled properly, they make a perfect business casual outfit. Perfect for a Friday at least. So here are 20 of the best office outfits with 5 different jean types. No T-shirt’s, no trainers, just classy, elegant and feminine jeans looks.
Slim/Skinny Jeans Work Looks
Slim or skinny jeans are so popular these days. And high rise (or high waist) are so flattering! Styling these is just like styling a high waist skirt or tailored trousers. But whether you opt for high, mid or low rise, your best approach to achieve an elegant and chic look, is to pick a delicate fabric blouse, as featured by Lugako, a lovely structured blazer or a tweed jacket, as seen on Jessy from Jessy’s Fashion Book. These work wonders with jeans for a business casual outfit, regardless if you’re wearing heels or delicate ballerina shoes.

Loose/Boyfriend Jeans Office Looks
Boyfriend jeans make for a perfect business casual office look and you can easily swap the flats for heels for a chic night out after work. Wear with a plain white shirt or a jumper for a smart casual look, with a structured tailored blazer for chic fashionista style, or with a feminine lace shirt for contrasting elegance. The best thing is you don’t even have to invest in a pair – just borrow your partner’s or friend’s.
Cropped/ 7/8 Jeans Work Outfits
Cropped jeans, if styled properly, scream Parisienne chic! They look fantastic with both flats/ballerinas and kitten heels. So good news for your feet – for once you can ditch the (high) heels in the office!
Opt for a blazer for a smarter office look or a cute top for an easy spring look and a warm polo neck for a warm autumn look. To make your legs appear longer, go for high waist and shoes with no ankle details as these cut your leg short creating the illusion of a shorter leg, especially with these jeans.

Bootcut Jeans Office Outfits
Bootcut are probably the most pretentious of all types. You either look amazing in them or you just don’t like them at all. But here are my top picks. The nice thing about them is if you pick a longer model you can still wear them with your comfy block heel boots thus not having to compromise on your comfort either! This isn’t really an option with other styles as the shoe is always visible. So you have to choose carefully between the glamour of stilettos or the comfort of your block heel boots – decisions, decisions! But in any case, high waist bootcut + high heels create the illusion of long legs so definitely a favorite amongst office fashionistas.

20 September 2023Most of your links do not work properly and your pop up ads hide your content and cannot be removed. Sorry to say, but this is annoying and I had to leave your site.

26 February 2023I don’t find ripped or distressed jeans elegant. Some outfits can be better with a belt. High heels looks elegant and they do uplift outfit, but if you have a lot to walk it can hurt.

19 August 2022Some of these looks are very nice; some are still a little too casual.
I would love an office look with jeans…. but no blazer… I have never owned a blazer, and not sure why this is a ‘go to’ office look….. in my 30 years of professional work I have never seen a woman pair a blazer with jeans.
